In 1997, Pete Hoste began working with legendary Chicago trial lawyer Tom Leahy, a recent President of the Illinois State Bar Association. Concentrating on medical malpractice, product liability and commercial vehicle cases, a string of successful verdicts and settlements followed.  The firm became known as Leahy & Hoste in 2002 and continued to consistently achieve outstanding client results.  Mike Alkaraki joined the firm in 2006, adding another talented trial lawyer to the team.  On two separate occasions the National Law Journal has recognized our attorneys as having achieved one of the largest or most significant jury verdicts in the United States.  In 2021, the law firm became known as Leahy Hoste Alkaraki, recognizing the pivotal role that Mike Alkaraki has played in continuing to help our clients and their families secure justice under the law.
