Millions of dog bites occur in the United States each year, resulting in hundreds of thousands of victims seeking medical attention. The Illinois Animal Control Act and common law provide remedies for those injured by dogs and other animals under certain circumstances. In 2013, partner Michael Alkaraki published an article in the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association’s Trial Journal detailing how to navigate the Animal Control Act and common law from the plaintiff’s perspective.
